The studio was architecturally designed & constructed in 1996 .
Featuring macrocarpa ,native matai & rimu timbers ,the design was with optimal acoustics in mind.
In particular a warm short reverb time giving an exceptional recording quality.
BBR has a reputation for huge Live drum recordings , testimony to this great acoustic room .
What’s great about the studio it’s set on a picturesque bamboo farm.
Here it is quiet but you can be as loud as
you need to be !
Walk in the live room and you'll notice the native timbers & high stud.
The sound can be huge or tight in this larger space.
We have studio instruments including a great Ludwig 6pc drum kit+8 cymbals.
A collection of great microphones & preamps give your recordings a unique feel without having to find all the mojo from plug-ins.
Need to head out for a bit? It is a 5 minute drive into town .
The farm house is nearby offering additional conveniences .
